Battle for Sevastopol is a 2015 biographical film about Lyudmila Pavlichenko, a young Soviet Ukrainian who joined the Red Army to fight the Nazi invasion of the USSR and became one of the deadliest snipers in World War II.

"Battle for Sevastopol" tells the story about the most lethal female sniper in history, Lyudmila Pavlichenko, a history student who enlisted as a sharpshooter right after the outbreak of the war.

It was within two intense years (1941-1942) that she killed over 300 Nazi soldiers. After this she was send on a tour to the US, in order to convince the American public to open up a second front. She became the very first Soviet citizen to get an invitation to stay at the White House, where she became very good friends with first lady Eleanor Roosevelt.
