The Russian sniper and his rifle
The Dragunov sniper rifle, conciseness SVD, is a semiautomatic sniper rifle 7.62mm, designed by Evgeniy Fedorovich Dragunov for the Soviet Union between 1958 and 1963. The SVD was the first semi-automatic rifle in the world specifically designed for it is used in military precision shooting, and is common (in many of its variants) in the countries of the former Eastern Bloc.
