Each and every year, Marui delights us with great new products during the traditional Hobby Show. This year is no different, with no less than five new airsoft guns on display.

2. M40 A5 SNIPER

Following this pretty awesome announcement, we're being treated with a brand new bolt-action rifle.

The M40 A5 shoots for modernity with a diecast zinc thermal vision mount and a Surefire-style muzzle brake (CCW, M14 standard). The outer barrel is machined in aluminum.

The bolt has been fitted with a cocking indicator, which is very welcome when you need to know whether the rifle is ready to shoot in the blink of an eye.

Marui has also presented a new feeding system, tentatively called 'BB road'. This system is supposed to increase reliability, which sounds odd, because Marui isn't exactly known for producing rifles that jam! As this point though, it looks very prototypey. The commercial version of the M40 A5 mag should be able to carry 50 bb's.

As usual with Marui bolt action rifles, this baby will come in black and olive drab. Expect the M40 A5 to hit around the end of the summer, with a price tag more or less matching that of the L96 AWS.
